Hi Israel,

Thank you for your call. We are really happy with the work your team did yesterday. Below, fyi, is the email I sent last night to our Capitol Hill mothers list serve. These messages reach more than 800 families living on Capitol Hill. I hope that Top of the Line will benefit from this recommendation.

We'll be sure to give you a call when our windows need another cleaning.

All the best,
Laura Slattery

I wanted to post a window cleaning recommendation for anyone out there who is looking for someone to clean *challenging* windows.

Not to sound like a commercial, but the dirty windows of our 2nd floor condo had been an absolute bane to me for a very long time. I made a half-hearted attempt last year to find someone to clean them, but our building's height, large awning, and painted-shut old historic district windows made it difficult to find anyone willing to take them on. I finally made a whole-hearted effort this month, calling 16 different companies, including every one that had ever been recommended on MOTH. Only 3 were willing to do the work, and of those three, only one was willing to do just my condo, rather than insisting on doing the whole building.

This one wonderful company is Top of the Line window cleaners in Woodbridge, VA 703-730-6100 (www.topofthelinewindowcleaning.com). Its vice president, Israel Portillo, is a friendly and professional guy who came and did the estimate within 24 hours of my call and arranged for one of his cleaning teams to come within a few days. They came today, worked really thoroughly, carefully, cleanly, and quietly, and did an *amazing* job. The estimate was accurate and there were no surprise charges. In sum - a very pleasant and sparkly clean experience.

Dear Top of The Line,
Your name says it all! I called 3 or 4 companies this morning looking for someone to clean my windows on the log house we just built. You called back immediately and had a crew on site within 2 hours! They did a PHENOMENAL job on a difficult project. We had some preservative liquid on the windows from when they sprayed our logs. They not only cleaned the windows to look better than new, but they were professional, polite, clean and even took their shoes off when they came in!

I have to say, I'm pretty particular, but I have never had better service in almost anything I have had done! Thank you very much and please feel free to sue me as a reference.

Thanks much!
Greg Goodall

PS. Your team have completed the job before any of the other companies have even called me back! Now, how good is that!!

Dear Israel,
Chris Hill sent me an email extolling the work of Gregorio and Jose. I am attaching his comments and asking that you place them in the files of these employees. Chris has put me to shame.

Over the years I have appreciated the quality of work that Wilbur has done, but never told you. Once again this year Wilber and his assistant, Saul, have cleaned my windows in record time and my life is brighter for their efforts. Please let them know. Because they have paid attention to detail, been quick and courteous, word has slowly spread among the Ontarians. You have done well in selecting your staff.

Thanks. Anne

Chris Hill's email of May 25, 2006

Anne,
I want to thank you for this referral. Two guys from Top of the Line did my windows today. They did a good and careful job about which I am very pleased. They were non-plussed by the fact that the storms on the large windows don't come out, and they ended up accessing the outsides of my windows using a ladder. That works on the first floor but on higher floors they'd have to come prepared to go outside. That said, their attitude was, "So, your windows won't come out--we'll do them another way." No grousing or complaining.

At the end they said that they would see me next year, so I guess that means they weren't that discomfited by the storm challenge. They were probably here nearly three hours for my 14 windows.

The crew chief was Gregorio and his assistant was Jose'. No problem conversing in English with Gregorio, somewhat more so with Jose'. Both were pleasant and appropriate. I would have them back and recommend them to others in the building. I overheard at least two other residents hail them from outside asking about having their windows done. Their queries were to the effect, "when will you get around to my side of the building?" They seemed disappointed to hear that the guys were only working for me.

Chris
